4500 total meters. 5 total swims. 6 hours. One tired girl by the time the day was over... The meets are always exciting. The adrenaline of racing is always what moves me to compete. The atmosphere of the people, spectators, volunteers, coaches, and fans are what makes the experience. The water. The sound of the starter. Relays. Records. Personal bests. The pain... all of these are my favorite things about swimming. About competing. I would never pass up an opportunity to be a part of a day like today. Even though my body aches, I will go to sleep with my body aching to dream of improving for my next competiton. I will never stop critiquing my skills, my technique, my speed, my performance. Each race, each meet, I will learn something new...
Time for some technique work in the water with my Finis equipment.
